Because "we went out" hides a lot. Five minutes and forty-five minutes are both "yes," and only one is a real walk. Logging minutes (reply YES 30) shows the true trend and where the short days pile up.
Does it know how much my dog needs?
You give it your dog's breed and size in setup, and the weekly summary frames your minutes against that. A border collie and a bulldog don't need the same walk, and it won't pretend they do.
What if we genuinely skip a day?
Reply NO. Honest beats a guilty fake-yes, the streak resets, and the weekly total still tells the real story. A rainy rest day is fine; a rainy rest week is the thing it helps you catch.
